People have varying beliefs about Satan and its origin. However, we all know that Satan is somebody who brings evil and temptation and is believed to be the deceiver. According to some religious beliefs, Satan originated as a fallen angel opposing God and rules over the fallen world, seducing humanity towards different ways of sin. It is a personal opinion on whether to believe in the physical manifestation of Satan or not. But there are some Satanic symbols around us in our daily life. Today, we consider some of the most powerful Satanic symbols and learn their meanings and significance.
Satanic Symbols & Their Meanings
Following are some of the most common symbols associated with Satanism and a brief explanation of their origin and meaning.
Ankh
This is an ancient Egyptian sign of staff, also known as god staff Ankh, believed to be the hieroglyph symbolizing sexual union and reproduction. It is best represented as future life or life after death. This Satanic symbol is sometimes referred to as the key of the Nile. It is related to a physician living in the 3000 B.C., Imkotep. He was made the God of healing in Egypt long after his death.
Triangle with Eye
Eye of Providence is another Satanic symbol originated from the Christian iconography and it represents the Satan’s goal. The eye is actually human and depicts the human ability to become the god. A triangle with eye stands for the lie of man evolving into the god which continues in the present age too. The triangle represents the trinity which says that humans are divine and do not need God. Such a symbol is incorporated in the United States dollar to represent a Satanic ritual which brings about the birth of an antichrist. The pyramid topped by an all-seeing eye is a sign that America is doing everything to bring the rebirth of Satan.
Sigil of Lucifer
A magical symbol representing a demon or fallen angel, Sigil of Lucifer is used to conjure the demons and make a bond between the magician and the demon to accomplish one’s will using the demon. The Sigil of Lucifer was first recorded in the middle ages in the instruction books about black magic, grimoires. It stands for the prince of fallen angels, Lucifer.
666
The number assigned to Satan from the book of revelation, 666 is used proudly by Satanists as an identification with satan and the rebellion to God. While number 666 represents satan number 444 represents an angel. This number is used by many companies in their logos knowingly or unknowingly and infects’ people’s mind to a great extent. The logo of Walt Disney popularly incorporates the founder’s signature and the three 6s as well. Not only this logo, Drake’s albums ‘Views from the 6’ and ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ both include instances of the Satanic 666 symbol. Even the Google Chrome logo seems to depict the three 6s which are apparent upon closer observation. Each color in the logo makes a different number 6.
Inverted Cross
The cross symbol represents Jesus Christ and his crucifixion. It is turned upside-down in Satanism to dishonor Christ and his death. As an act of rebellion to God, the inverted cross symbol shows the central teaching of Satanism which is doing your own will rather than obeying God.
Baphomet
This symbol was used by the Knights of Templar as a representation of Satan. It has been recognized by different names through the ages. Some of the popular names of the Baphomet symbol are The Black Goat, The Goat of Mendes, The Scapegoat and The Judas Goat. Baphomet stands for the powers of darkness along with a goat’s fertility. Satanism uses an inverted pentagram to represent the opposition of man’s spirituality and accommodates a Goat’s head. Its horns depict duality and the three points inverted to represent the denial of Trinity. This Satanic symbol is found on the logo of the famous worldwide coffee chain The Starbucks Circle.
The Serpent
One of the most famous Satanic symbols, the serpent essentially represents the kundalini force at the base of the spine. Activating the serpent through the power of meditation ascends it through the seven chakras and brings enlightenment, awareness, and abilities. As seen in Egyptian carvings and paintings, the hooded cobra is the symbol of this resultant expanded awareness from the serpent. The true foundation of Satanism is the raising of the serpent.
The Hex
Known by the name ‘The Star of David’, the Hex symbol is referred to as the Seal of Solomon, the son of David in Hermeticism. The Hex symbol is believed to have been used by Solomon in the battle for protection. Bible says that Solomon went astray and got involved in acts of idolatry and hence the symbol got associated with Satanism.
The Peace Symbol
According to some scholars of symbolism, the two-fingered peace symbol makes the Hebrew letter for ‘V’ and it represents ‘Nail’. It is the name of one of the Satan and hence when you make this V with your fingers, you say ‘Nail’ or ‘Satan’.
Satanic Idol
Some theories state that ‘Lady Liberty’ is originally a Satanic idol of a false God gifted to America by French Freemasons. The Statue of Liberty actually tells that liberty is achieved from humans and cultures and not from God. It is a symbol of rebellion with God.
Dot Inside a Circle
Such a symbol represents the notion of ‘God lies within’ and is directly in opposition to the Christian belief of God which says He is outside of humanity until accepted by them. The dot inside the circle shows that man is his own God. This symbol is very commonly used by corporations in their logos. Big companies like Target, CBS, Circular Logic and others have come up with logos with a spin on this symbol but it does represent Satanic meaning.

Ankh would be a satanic symbol, in your opinion? Well, that is the biggest idiocy I’ve ever read. Pure ignorance!
I’ve seen articles that note the OK sign. Three fingers up & spread. Lots of celebrities put the circle over one eye. They also do a finger to the mouth like shush. Also a triangle with a line down the middle, a different color on each side.
